Devotion 1 of 2: Amos 1
Amos was a prophet from Judah who warned nearby nations, Judah and ultimately Northern Israel of judgment for their sins around 750 BC. In chapter 1, Amos pronounced judgment first against Israel, then against 5 nations (Syria, Philistines, Tyre, Edom and Ammon) for their sins.
Amos described himself as a herdsman and farmer rather than a prophet in 7:14! But it was he who gave one of the most powerful endtime prophecies in the Bible about David’s Tabernacle (DT)! Let’s study the DT prophecy and apply it to the endtime church!

アモスは、紀元前750年頃、近隣の諸国、ユダ、そして最終的には北イスラエルに対し、その罪のために裁きが下ることを警告したユダ出身の預言者である。第1章において、アモスは自らの罪のために、まずイスラエルに対して、次いで5つの国々（シリア、ペリシテ、ツロ、エドム、アンモン）に対して裁きを言い渡した。
アモスは7:14に、自らを預言者ではなく、羊飼いであり、農家であると描写した。しかし、ダビデの幕屋に関する聖書中で最も力強い終末論的預言の一つを与えたのは彼であった。ダビデの幕屋の預言を学び、それを終末の教会に適用しよう。
Devotion 2 of 2: John 13
This chapter describes Jesus’ last supper with His disciples and how He served them by washing their feet (v.1-17). What is so amazing is that Jesus, the Creator and Ruler of mankind and the universe, not only humbled Himself to wash the disciples’ feet, but that He did it while knowing they would soon forsake and leave Him!
Also, Judas Iscariot was one of Jesus’ disciples. He committed the greatest sin of ultimately selling Jesus to the High Priest to be tried and finally crucified! Yet, Jesus also washed Judas’ feet (v.10-11)! Let’s seek God to help us to serve others!

この章は、弟子たちと主の最後の晩餐と、主が彼らの足を洗うことによってどのように仕えられたかを描いている（1-17節）。驚くべきことに、人類と宇宙の創造者であり支配者であられるイエスは、自らを低くして弟子たちの足を洗われただけでなく、彼らがやがてご自分を見捨てて立ち去ることを知りながらそれを行われたのである。
また、イスカオリテのユダもイエスの弟子の一人であった。彼は、イエスを大祭司に売り渡し、裁判にかけられて最終的に十字架につけられるようにするという、最大の罪を犯した。それでも、イエスはユダの足をも洗われたのである（10-11節）。人に仕えることができるよう、神に助けを求めよう。
