Devotion 1 of 2: Amos 2
The expression, “For three transgressions of (Syria, etc.), and for four, I will not turn away its punishment…” is repeated 8 times in chapters 1 and 2 against varying nations. It means God will not stop judgment upon those nations because their sins are established (3) (1 Cor 13:1) and over the tipping point (4)!
When Amos directed God’s judgment against the 6 pagan nations (1:3 - 2:3), the Jews cheered. But when he pronounced judgments against Judah and Israel, they wept (v.4-8)! In the endtime, the Laodicean Church will be same as the world! Let’s not be the Laodicean but the Revival Church!

「（シリアなどの）三つの背き、四つの背きのゆえに、わたしは彼らを顧みない……」という表現は、1章と2章においてさまざまな国々に対して8回繰り返されている。これは、それらの国々の罪が確定し（3）（Ⅰコリ13:1）、限界点を超えた（4）ため、神が彼らに対する裁きを止められないことを意味する。
アモスが神の裁きを6つの異邦の国々に向けたとき（1:3-2:3）、ユダヤ人たちは歓声を上げたであろう。しかし、彼が同じような裁きをユダとイスラエルに対して宣告したとき、彼らは確かに泣いたはずである（4-8節）。終末にラオデキアの教会も世と変わらない存在となる。私たちはラオデキアではなく、リバイバルの教会となろうではないか。
Devotion 2 of 2: John 14
In v.8, Philip asked Jesus, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” Jesus answered in v.11, “Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.” The works Jesus did was the proof that Father God was with Jesus!
For this same reason, Jesus promised in v.12, “He who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also!” When we evangelize, it is hard for the world to believe our words only, but if we do Jesus’ works, then they will believe that Jesus is with us! Let’s believe this is how God will turn millions of hearts to Christ in the LDR!

「主よ、父を見せてください。そうすれば満足します」と、8節でフィリポがイエスに求めた。主は11節で「わたしが父におり、父がわたしにおられるのを信じなさい。さもなければ、業そのものによって信じなさい」とお答えになった。イエスが行われた業こそ、父なる神がイエスとともにおられることの証明であった。
同じ理由から、イエスは12節で「わたしを信じる者は、わたしの行う業を行い、さらに大きな業を行う」と約束された。福音を伝えるとき、言葉だけで信じてもらうのは容易ではない。しかし、イエスの業を行うなら、イエスがともにおられることを人々は信じるであろう。これこそが、終末リバイバルに神が無数の人々をキリストに導かれる方法であると信じようではないか。
