Devotion 1 of 2: Eccl 5
V.1-7 urge all to keep their vows to God. Becoming a Christian is like making a vow similar to a wedding vow. We vowed we would follow no other god but Christ alone, just as a bride vows to be loyal to her husband alone.
V.8-9 point out the prevalence of corruption in society, but a good king will reform government officials and produce profit from natural resources that benefit all citizens! Let’s pray for good leaders in government!

1-7節は、すべての人に神への誓いを守るよう勧めている。クリスチャンになることは、結婚の誓いに似た誓いを立てるようなものである。新婦が自分の夫だけに忠実であると誓うように、私たちはキリストのほかにいかなる神も従わないと誓ったのである。
8-9節は、社会における腐敗の蔓延を指摘しているが、良い王は政府高官を改革し、全国民に益となるように天然資源から利益を生み出すのである！政府によい指導者与えられるよう祈ろうではないか！
Devotion 2 of 2: John 5
The story of Jesus healing a lame man at the pool of Bethesda is found in v.1-15. One important lesson in this story is that the traditions of the Jews kept them from acknowledging that the miracle came from God.
This same mentality has hindered the church from accepting new revival movements: the Catholics opposed the Protestants, the Evangelicals opposed the Pentecostals, etc. This pattern will no doubt continue during the LDR! Probably some teachings and practices will be deemed too extreme. Let’s always pray for the church to be able to accept the LDR!

ベテスダの池で足の不自由な人を癒されるイエスの物語は、1-15節に見いだされる。この物語における重要な教えの一つは、ユダヤ人の伝統が、その奇跡が神から出たものであることを彼らに認めさせなかったということである。
このような傾向は、教会が新しいリバイバル運動を受け入れることを妨げてきた。すなわち、カトリック教会はプロテスタントに反対し、福音派はペンテコステ派に反対した、などである。このパターンは柊真宇リバイバルの時も間違いなく続くであろう！おそらく、いくつかの教えや実践はあまりにも過激であるとみなされるであろう。教会が終末リバイバルを受け入れることができるように、常に祈ろうではないか！
