Devotion 1 of 2: Josh 23
In this chapter Joshua gives his farewell speech. His words give us a prophetic picture of the Last Day Church (LDC)! This is the vision God wants us to have! If we fully obey God, what kind of church will He restore us to?
V.9: “For the Lord has driven out from before you great and strong nations; but as for you, no one has been able to stand against you to this day.” V.10: One man of you shall chase a thousand…” V.14b: “…not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning you.” Let’s believe God’s vision for us!

本章でヨシュアは告別の説教をしている。彼の言葉は、私たちに終末教会に対して預言的な描写を示す。神は私たちがこのビジョンこそ持ってほしいと願っている！もし私たちが神に完全に従うなら、どのような教会に回復されるのだろうか。
9節「【主】は大いなる強い国々をあなたがたの前から追い払われた。今日まで、あなたがたの前に立ち塞がる者はだれもいなかった。」 10節「あなたがたのうちの一人は千人を追う…」 14節後半「…【主】があなたがたについて約束されたすべての良いことは･･･実現し、そのうちの一つの言葉も落ちなかった。」 終末教会のための神のビジョンを信じよう！
Devotion 2 of 2: Josh 24
Joshua’s farewell address continues in this chapter. After he recounts how God delivered Israel from Egypt, led them through the wilderness and into the Promised Land, he warns them that if they forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, He would consume them (v.20). Endtime application: If we disobey God, we’ll lose the revival!
Joshua gave this speech at Shechem. This was where Levi and Simeon deceived Shechem’s tribe then killed them for violating their sister Dinah. This is a warning to the LDC to never use authority to satisfy fleshly anger!

ヨシュアの告別の説教は本章でも続いている。彼は神がどのようにイスラエルをエジプトから救い出し、荒野を経て約束の地に導かれたかを語った後、もし彼らが【主】を捨てて外国の神々に仕えるなら、神は彼らを処罰し滅ぼし尽くされると警告している（20節）。終末への適用： 私たちが神に不従順であるなら、リバイバルを失うことになるのである。
ヨシュアはこの説教をシェケムで行った。そこはかつて、レビとシメオンが妹ディナを辱めたシェケムの部族を欺き、彼らを殺害した場所である。これは終末教会に対し、肉の怒りを満たすために権威を決して使ってはならないという警告である。
