Devotion 1 of 2: Num 7
This chapter describes the offerings of the leaders (v.1-10) and the 12 tribes of Israel (v.11-88). The leaders gave 6 carts and 12 oxen to pull the carts to the Levites to help in their work for the tabernacle (v.5). The 12 tribes gave identical gifts of various utensils and animals to be used for sacrifices to dedicate the Brazen Altar (v.4-88).
After Israel gave their offerings, Moses entered the tabernacle, and God spoke to him from the Mercy Seat on top of the Ark of the Covenant (v.89). Let’s give to God from our heart and listen as He speaks to us!

Devotion 2 of 2: Num 8
V.1-4 give directions about the lampstand. The lampstand symbolizes the Word of God and also the Holy Spirit. Today, we’ll just write about the Word. The lampstand’s light faced the front (v.2-3). Ps 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” The Word shows us how to move forward and walk with God.
Also, the lampstand was made of pure gold (v.4). This means the Word is all genuinely inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Tim 3:16)! And it the lampstand had 66 parts (Ex 25:31-36), just as the 66 books in the Bible! Let’s learn the Word!
