Devotion 1 of 2: Ex 11
In this chapter God announces His last plague will be against the firstborn of every household and livestock (v.4-5). God wanted to show Pharaoh that because he didn’t want to free the Jews, who were God’s firstborn, God would take Pharaoh’s firstborn (4:22-23)!
Endtime application: During the tribulation, AC will persecute and kill many saints, but at the end of the tribulation, Jesus will capture AC and the false prophet and cast them into the lake of fire (Rev 19:19-20). When AC persecutes us, let’s remember the fate awaiting him in the end!

Devotion 2 of 2: Ex 12
This chapter describes the first Passover in Israel’s history. The Passover symbolizes salvation because a lamb’s blood was shed and put on the doorposts and lintel of the Jews’ homes (v.7). This caused death to pass over the Jews’ homes, so they escaped death (v.13). This symbolized Christ’s blood saving us from eternal death.
God declared the month of the Passover would be the 1st month of the year for the Jews (v.2). Through salvation we are born again in the spirit and begin a new life with Christ. Let’s grow into full maturity in our new life.

この章は、イスラエルの歴史における最初の過越祭について述べています。過越祭は救いの象徴です。なぜなら、小羊の血が流され、ユダヤ人の家の門柱と鴨居に塗られたからです（7節）。これにより、死の天使がユダヤ人の家過ぎ越し、彼らは死を免れました（13節）。これは、キリストの血が私たちを永遠の死から救うことを象徴しています。
神は、過越祭の月をユダヤ人にとって一年の最初の月と宣言されました（2節）。救いを通して、私たちは霊において新しく生まれ、キリストと共に新しい命を始めます。新しい命の中で、真に成熟へと成長していきましょう。
