Devotion 1 of 2: Dan 7
In Dan 7-12, Daniel has 4 visions. The 1st is in this chapter and covers the time from Daniel to the Millennium! Daniel saw 4 beasts (v.3): a lion (v.4), bear (v.5), leopard (v.6), and a terrifying beast (v.7). These represent the same 4 empires that appeared in Neb’s dream in chapter 2: Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome (& AC’s kingdom).
The 4th empire had 10 horns. Then a little horn rose up and uprooted 3 other horns (v.8). This little horn symbolizes AC and his endtime kingdom. He uproots 3 other kings and speaks boastfully (v.11). This kingdom will be destroyed and thrown into fire by the Son of Man, who will then set up His Millennial Kingdom (v.11-14).
The little horn (AC) will wage war against and defeat Christians (v.21). He will also speak against God, oppress Christians and Jews for 3.5 years, and try to change times and laws (v.25). But Jesus will overcome him (v.26)!

ダニ7-12章では、ダニエルは4つの幻を見ます。この章にある最初の幻は、ダニエルから千年王国までの期間を扱っています。ダニエルは4頭の獣を見ました（3節）。獅子（4節）、熊（5節）、ひょう（6節）、そして恐ろしい獣（7節）。これらは、2章でネブの夢に現れた4つの帝国、バビロン、ペルシャ、ギリシャ、ローマ（また、反キの王国）を表しています。
4番目の帝国には10本の角がありました。すると小さな角が立ち上がり、他の3本の角を引き抜きました（8節）。この小さな角は反キとその終末の王国を象徴しています。彼は大き（大げさ、自慢、傲慢）な言葉を語ります（11節）。この王国は人の子によって滅ぼされ、火に投げ込まれます。そして、人の子は千年王国を建てます（11-14節）。
小さな角（反キ）はクリスチャンたちに対して戦いを挑み、打ち負かします（21節）。また、神に逆らって語り、3年半にわたってクリスチャンとユダヤ人たちを抑圧し、時と法則を変えようとします（25節）。しかし、イエスは彼を打ち砕きます（26節）。
Devotion 2 of 2: Dan 8
Daniel sees a 2nd vision、this time about a ram and a goat (v.3, 5). The ram had 2 horns, and the goat, one. It attacked the ram and overcame it (v.7), but then its horn was broken and became 4 horns (v.8).
This vision was a prophecy of 2 empires, Persia and Greece. The 2-horned ram symbolized the Medo-Persian Empire (v.20), and the goat symbolized the Grecian Empire, which conquered Persia. The goat’s one horn was Alexander the Great, who died suddenly, resulting in the Grecian Empire dividing into 4 (v.22) (the 4 horns).
Out of one of the horns, another horn grew (v.9). It threw some stars to earth (v.10), stopped the daily sacrifices (v.11), and trampled the Lord’s people (v.13). This describes what Antiochus IV Epiphanes, king of one of the 4 kingdoms from the Grecian Empire, did in 167 BC to the Jews, and what AC will do in the endtime.

ダニエルは、雄羊と雄やぎに関する二つ目の幻を見ます（3節、5節）。雄羊には2本の角、雄やぎには1本の角がありました。雄羊は雄羊を攻撃して打ち負かしますが（7節）、その後、角が折れて4本の角になりました（8節）。
この幻は、ペルシャとギリシャという2つの帝国の預言でした。2本の角を持つ雄羊はメディア・ペルシャ帝国を象徴し（20節）、雄やぎはペルシャを征服したギリシャ帝国を象徴しています。雄やぎの1本の角はアレクサンドロス大王のことで、彼は突然死に、その結果ギリシャ帝国は4つ（4本の角）に分裂しました（22節）。
1本の角から、別の角が生えました（9節）。その角は星の幾つかを地上に投げ落とし（10節）、常供の捧げ物を取り上げ（11節）、聖所と軍勢を踏みにじりました（13節）。これは、ギリシャ帝国の4つの王国の一つを治めていたアンティオコス4世エピファネスが紀元前167年にユダヤ人に対して行ったこと、そして終末において反キが行うことを描写しています。
