Devotion 1 of 2: Dan 5
This chapter tells the story of King Belshazzar, a successor of KN and the last ruler of the Babylonian Empire. While having a feast, a man’s hand appears and writes on the wall in an unknown language (v.1-6)! When no one could decipher meaning of the words, Daniel is asked to solve this mystery (v.7-16).
Daniel delivers a sharp rebuke to Belshazzar, saying because the king hadn’t learned the lesson KN learned and didn’t humble himself, God would divide his kingdom to the Medes and Persians (v.17-28). This prophetic writing came true that very night as Darius the Mede invaded Babylon and killed Belshazzar (v.30).
Endtime interpretation: This can be a warning to people deceived by AC! His end will come, so following him will only end in tragedy! Let’s warn AMAP to not be deceived by AC but rely of Christ alone!
デボーション1/2：ダニ5章
この章は、バビロニア王国最後の統治者、ベルシャザル王の物語です。宴会の最中、人の手が現れ、未知の言語で壁に文字を書きます（1-6節）。誰もその言葉の意味を解読できなかったため、ダニエルはこの謎を解くよう呼び出されます（7-16節）。
ダニエルはベルシャザルを叱責し、「王はネブカデネザルが学んだ教訓を学ばず、謙遜にならなかったため、神は彼の王国をメディア人とペルシャ人に分割するだろう」と告げます（17-28節）。この預言は、まさにその夜、メディア人ダリウスがバビロンに侵攻し、ベルシャザルを殺した時に実現しました（30節）。
終末解釈：これは、反キに騙された人々への警告と言えるでしょう。彼の終わりは必ず来ます。彼に従うことは悲劇に終わるでしょう！できるだけ多くの人々に、反キに騙されず、キリストのみに頼るよう警告しましょう！
Devotion 2 of 2: Dan 6
In this chapter, Daniel’s enemies, jealous of his prominence as 1 of 3 governors over Darius’ kingdom, plot to get rid of him by having the king issue a decree that anyone who prays to a god beside Darius be cast into a den of lions (v.1-9). This is another parable of the persecution the LDC will face in the endtime.
Daniel knew of this decree, yet continued to pray 3 times a day before an open window as was his custom (v.10). His enemies handed Daniel over to the king, who reluctantly had Daniel cast into the lions’ den (v.11-17).
But miraculously, Daniel was not killed (v.18-23)! Instead, Darius ordered Daniel’s accusers to be cast into the lions’ den with their families (v.24). Daniel showed that the LDC should never compromise our faith and God will protect us from harm from our persecutors like in Esther (Rev 11:5-6; Es 7-9; Luke 10:19)!
デボーション2/2：ダニ6章
この章では、ダニエルの敵対者たちが、ダリウスの王国を統治する3人の総督の1人としてダニエルが目立っていることに嫉妬し、ダリウス以外の神に祈る者はライオンの穴に投げ込まれるという勅令を王に発布させることで、ダニエルを排除しようと企てます（1-9節）。これは、終末期に終末教会が直面する迫害を象徴するもう一つのたとえ話です。
ダニエルはこの勅令を知っていましたが、いつものように毎日3回、開いた窓の前で祈り続けました（10節）。敵対者たちはダニエルを王に引き渡し、王は渋々ダニエルをライオンの穴に投げ込みました（11-17節）。
しかし奇跡的に、ダニエルは殺されませんでした（18-23節）。その代わりに、ダリウスは彼を告発した者たちをその家族と共にライオンの穴に投げ込むよう命じました（24節）。ダニエルは、終末教会が決して信仰を妥協してはいけないこと、そして神がエステル記のように迫害者からの危害から私たちを守ってくださることを示しました (黙11:5-6、エス7-9、ルカ10:19)。
