Devotion 1 of 2: Prov 23
V.23 says, “Buy the truth, and do not sell it, also wisdom and instruction and understanding.” We can apply this verse to the truth about God’s endtime plan for a world-wide revival. It is hidden in parables all over the Bible! This verse says to buy it! How? By study, diligence, patience, sacrifice, and believing what God is saying!
The verse also says do not sell it! How do we sell it? By unbelief, by compromise, by not diligently digging into the Word of God and by being lukewarm toward endtime truths! Let’s not sell this precious truth! Let’s study it until we gain wisdom and understanding, too! And let’s also share it with others! Let’s be the voice that cries out at midnight to awaken the 10 sleeping virgins and get them ready to meet the bridegroom!

23節には、「真理を買え。それを売ってはならない。知恵と訓戒と悟りも。」とあります。この聖句は、世界規模の神の終末リバイバルの計画についての真理に当てはまります。それは聖書中のたとえ話の中に隠されているのです。この聖句は、「真理を買え」と言っています。どのように？神の言われることを信じることによって、また勤勉に、忍耐強く、犠牲を払いながら学ぶことによってです。
また、この聖句は、「それを売ってはならない」とも言っています。どのように売るのでしょうか？不信仰によって、妥協によって、神の言葉を熱心に探究しないことによって、そして終末の真理に対してなまぬるさを持つことによってです。この貴重な真理を売ってはいけません。知恵と悟りを得るまで学びましょう。そして、他の人々と分かち合いましょう。眠っている10人の娘を目覚めさせ、花婿を迎える準備をさせるように真夜中に叫ぶ声になりましょう。
Devotion 2 of 2: Luke 23
This chapter describes the crucifixion of Christ. In v.27-31, Jesus told some women not to weep for Him but to weep for themselves and their children. Then He prophesied that in the future, they would say blessed are the women who never bore children!
What was Jesus talking about? He was prophesying about 70 AD. The Roman army would besiege Jerusalem, cut off all food supply and starve the people! In the end, the Jews would kill and eat their own children! That’s why women who didn’t have children were better off!
But in v.30, Jesus added that the Jews would beg the mountains to fall upon them! This part of the prophecy has a future fulfillment at Christ’s 2nd coming. This time AC’s army will besiege Jerusalem. 2/3 of the Jews will die. It will be so horrible that the Jews will cry out to the mountains to fall upon and crush them! Then Christ will return and save them! But what a terrible price to pay for rejecting Jesus as the Messiah for 2000 years! Let’s continue to pray for the Jews!

この章はキリストの十字架刑について述べています。27-31節で、イエスは、ある女性たちに、ご自分のために泣くのではなく、自分自身と自分の子供たちのために泣くようにと言われました。そして、将来、彼女たちが「子供を産まない女性は幸いだ」と言うようになると預言されました。
イエスは何について語っていたのでしょうか？西暦70年のことです。ローマ軍はエルサレムを包囲し、すべての食糧供給を断ち切り、人々を飢えさせました。最終的に、ユダヤ人は自分の子供を殺して食べてしまいました。だからこそ、子供を持たない女性の方が幸せだったのです。
しかし、30節でイエスは、ユダヤ人が山に自分たちの上に倒れかかってくれと懇願するだろうと付け加えています。この預言は、キリストの再臨の時に成就します。今度は反キの軍がエルサレムを包囲します。ユダヤ人の3分の2が殺されるのです。それはあまりにも恐ろしいことなので、ユダヤ人は山に自分たちに倒れかかってくれと叫ぶのです。その時、キリストが再臨して彼らを救います！しかし、2000年もの間、イエスをメシヤとして拒絶したことの代償は、なんと恐ろしいものでしょう！ユダヤ人たちのために祈り続けましょう。
