Devotion 1 of 2: 2 Chron 25
This chapter describes the good and the evil deeds of King Amaziah of Judah. The good was that he sent back the soldiers of Israel that he had hired to fight with him because they were not God’s will and still could defeat Edom (v.5-12). The evil was that after conquering Edom, he brought their gods back to Judah and worshiped them (v.14), which angered God and caused Judah to lose in their next war against Israel (v.15-24).

Devotion 2 of 2: 2 Chron 26
This chapter describes King Uzziah of Judah, who was a good king, but who also had faults. One thing I want to emphasize is v.5: “He sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God; and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper.” This Zechariah was not the prophet who wrote the book of Zechariah; rather, he was an advisor to the king.
Lesson: We want to be like Zechariah and have understanding of the visions of God concerning the last days. And we want to seek the Lord so God will cause us to prosper.
