Devotion 1 of 2: 2 Chron 27
In this chapter, we read about the reign of King Jotham. Although he was a good king and did many great things, he still couldn’t stop the people from acting corruptly (v.2-6)!
Lesson: Sometimes there can be bad leaders with good people, like the wicked Athaliah and the good people who toppled her in 2 Chron 23. At other times, there can be good leaders with bad people, like the good King Jotham whose people were corrupt. Let’s pray for the church to have both good leaders and good people!

この章では、ヨタム王の治世について読みました。ヨタム王は善良な王であり、多くの偉業を成し遂げました。が、それでも民の堕落を止めることはできませんでした（英訳の聖書）（2-6節）。
教訓：時には、悪い指導者の下に善良な人々がいることがあります。例えば、2歴23章に登場する邪悪なアタリヤ女王と、彼女を倒した善良な人々です。また、時には、善良なヨタム王のよう指導者に、堕落した民がいる場合もあります。教会が良い指導者と良い信者たちを持つように祈りましょう。

Devotion 2 of 2: 2 Chron 28
This chapter describes the reign of King Ahaz of Judah (v.1). He was wicked, worshiping Baal and burning his children to idols (v.2-3). So, the Lord handed him over to Syria and then also to Israel (v.5). In the end, Ahaz worshiped the gods of Syria, trying to gain their help in war, but instead that led to his and Israel’s ruin (v.23).
Endtime lesson: We will be tempted to worship AC’s image, thinking that will help us to avoid his persecution and survive, but we must not forget that that will actually lead to our apostasy and destruction (Rev 14:9-11)!

2歴28章：自由な分かち合い！
この章は、ユダの王アハズの治世について述べています（1節）。彼は邪悪で、バアルを崇拝し、子供たちを偶像に焼き尽くしました（2-3節）。そのため、主は戦争で彼をシリア、それからイスラエルに引き渡しました（5節）。最終的に、アハズはシリアの神々を崇拝し、戦争で彼らの助けを得ようとしましたが、それは彼自身とイスラエルの破滅につながりました（23節）。
