Devotion 1 of 2: Ezek 46

One famous verse in this chapter is v.9. ““But when the people of the land come before the Lord on the appointed feast days, whoever enters by way of the north gate to worship shall go out by way of the south gate; and whoever enters by way of the south gate shall go out by way of the north gate. He shall not return by way of the gate through which he came, but shall go out through the opposite gate.”
In other words, people who entered the south gate to worship went out from a different gate—the north gate, and vice versa!
Endtime application: In the LDC, when we worship the Lord, we will always be changed and leave church a different person. This is the kind of church we want to be—where we encounter Christ and are changed every time we gather for worship!

Devotion 2 of 2: Phil 2

We must have the correct understanding of v.10-11: “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
There is a group in Christianity who believe that God gives a second chance after death to believe in Jesus and get saved. They quote v.10-11 and say if you bow your knees and confess Jesus is Lord, you’ll be saved, so even those under the earth (the dead!) can confess Jesus is Lord and get saved!
But that is not the teaching of the whole Bible. What v.10-11 are saying is that one day all humanity will bow their knees and recognize that Jesus is Lord before they receive punishment for their sins. James 2:19 says even demons believe in God, but, of course, they don’t get saved! So, let’s understand Scripture from the whole Bible.
