Devotion 1 of 3: Jer 51
This chapter continues the prophecy of judgment by Jeremiah against Babylon. Babylon symbolizes AC in the endtime. AC appears in Rev as a beast, and his partner, the False Prophet, appears as Babylon, and also as the 2nd beast! Let’s find 2 common traits between Babylon in JER 51 and AC and Babylon in REV!
JER 51:1-5. Babylon conquered Judah, but God said He would destroy Babylon’s army because He had not forsaken Judah. REV 16:13-16; 17:7-14. The AC and False Prophet will gather world’s armies at Armageddon to conquer Israel, but Jesus will overcome AC and his alliance and protect Israel.
JER 51:6-7. Warning to flee from Babylon and not be cut off in her iniquity! (v.6). REV 18:4-8. Warning to come out of Babylon, lest you share in her sins. Let’s listen to this warning and never be a part of AC’s alliance!

この章は、エレミヤによるバビロンへの裁きの預言の続きです。バビロンは終末における反キを象徴しています。反キは黙示録の中で獣として登場し、その相棒である偽預言者はバビロンとして、そして第二の獣としても登場します。エレミヤ51章のバビロンと黙示録の反キとバビロンの共通点を2つ見つけてみましょう。
エレ51:1-5。バビロンはユダを征服しましたが、神はユダを見捨てなかったため、バビロンの全軍を聖絶すると言われました。黙16:13-16; 17:7-14。反キと偽預言者はハルマゲドンで世界の軍隊を集め、イスラエルを征服しようとしますが、イエスは反キとその同盟を打ち破り、イスラエルを守ります。
エレ51:6。バビロンの中から逃げ、その咎のために断ち滅ぼされるなと警告しています。黙18:4-8。バビロンから離れなさい。その罪に預からないよう警告しています。この警告に耳を傾け、反キの同盟には決して加わらないようにしよう！
Devotion 2 of 3: 2 Pet 2
There are some common characteristics between the ungodly found in this chapter and some cultures today. I want to especially connect one verse to the recent culture of the USA.
V.10 says the ungodly people in Lot’s day despised authority, were self-willed and spoke evil of dignitaries. In the USA there is a pandemic-like disease of despising authority, speaking evil of dignitaries, being self-willed, arrogant, criticizing, arguing, fighting, insulting, self-centered, etc., spreading over the nation.
I believe there is a possibility that God is using President Donald Trump to disrupt and even destroy the USA as a superpower and crash her economy and shame her on the international stage to help her realize she needs more humility, politeness and common sense. Lord, help the USA to walk humbly before You.

この章に出てくる不敬虔な人々と、今日のある国々の文化には共通点があります。特に、ある一節を現代のアメリカ合衆国の文化に関連付けて考えたいと思います。
10節には、ロトの時代の不敬虔な人々は権威を侮り、わがままで、栄誉ある人たちをそしっていたとあります。米国では、権威を軽蔑し、高官を悪く言い、わがままで、傲慢で、批判し、議論し、争い、侮辱し、自己中心的になるといった、パンデミックのような疫病が国中に蔓延しています。
神はドナルド・トランプ大統領を用いて、超大国としてのアメリカ合衆国を混乱させ、さらには破壊し、経済を崩壊させ、国際舞台で恥をかかせ、謙遜さ、礼儀正しさ、そして常識をもっと必要としていることに気づかせようとしている可能性があると私は信じています。主よ、アメリカがあなたの前に謙遜に歩むことができるよう助けてください。
Devotion 3 of 3: John 19
This chapter describes the crucifixion of Christ. Jesus took all the sins of mankind upon Himself and died as our substitute so that we could be forgiven and set free from the penalty of our sins.
Understanding the purpose of the cross and accepting it as a gift from God that will give us eternal life is the most important concept we can understand in life!
To be one who had this understanding and made this decision is a privilege that we should treasure and never let go of. Let’s thank Jesus for enduring the suffering for our salvation until He could say, “It is finished!” (v.30). Knowing and receiving Jesus is the greatest blessing possible in the universe! Thank you, Jesus!

この章はキリストの十字架について述べています。イエスは人類のすべての罪を自ら引き受け、私たちの身代わりとなって死んでくださいました。それは、私たちが赦され、罪の罰から解放されるためです。
十字架の目的を理解し、それを永遠の命を与える神からの賜物として受け入れることは、人生において私たちが理解できる最も重要な概念です。
この理解を持ち、また、この決断を下した者であることは、私たちが大切にし、決して手放すべきではない特権です。私たちの救いのために苦しみに耐え、「完了した」（30節）と言われるまで耐えてくださったイエスに感謝しましょう。イエスを知り、受け入れることは、この宇宙で得られる最大の祝福です。イエス様、ありがとう！
