Devotion 1 of 3: Jer 50

This chapter is a prophecy of judgment against Babylon. God says in v.18b, “…I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.” So, as God allowed Assyria to be conquered by Babylon, He allowed Babylon to be conquered by the next empire, Persia!
But Nebuchadnezzar was God’s servant. God used him to move the Jews to Babylon in order for the land of Judah to be purified of the sins of idolatry, child sacrifices, etc., by the Jews. But after Nebuchadnezzar’s mission was accomplished, God punished the Babylonian Empire for their sins.
Nebuchadnezzar was a type of AC, who also will be God’s servant to rid the church of lukewarmness in the endtime. But once that purpose is fulfilled, God will punish AC for all his sins, too!

Devotion 2 of 3: 2 Pet 1

I want to touch on 3 points: 1) Present truth (v.12). There are some truths that are revealed at certain times. They would be the present truths of that time. Today’s present truths are truths like Restoration of the Church and Israel and the Last Day Revival, etc.
2) In v.16-21, Peter refers to the Mt. of Transfiguration experience he had. That experience was a glimpse of the LDR, in which the Kingdom of God will be present with power (Mark 9:1). The Kingdom of God is on earth now, but in the endtime, it will be revealed with the power the 3 disciples witnessed on the mount!
3) God has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these we may be partakers of the divine nature… (v.4). In the next revival, God will lift the church to a higher level—full maturity, to a perfect man, the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ (Eph 4:13)! Let’s believe God’s promises will come to pass!

Devotion 3 of 3: John 18

This chapter describes the arrest and trial of Jesus. When the high priest’s servant tried to grab Jesus, Peter drew out his sword and cut off his right ear (v.10)! But Jesus ordered Peter to put his sword into the sheath, then said something strange, “Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?” (v.11).
Peter, as well as the other disciples, couldn’t understand what Jesus was saying! They were trying to protect Jesus, but He refused their help! He was saying strange things about drinking from a cup! What was He talking about? They were clueless because they didn’t know God’s plan of the cross! So, they all forsook Jesus and fled!
When we don’t know God’s plan for the endtime, we’ll also be confused like the disciples! We try to do something, which we think is good, but God doesn’t bless it! We can get discouraged and give up, too! So that’s why we should search and find out God’s plan for our life, and for the endtime we’re living in!
