Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 63
V.1b can be a description of the world without God: “My flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.” So what is the answer for such a world? It’s found in v.2: “So I have looked for you in the sanctuary, to see your power and your glory.”
Let’s seek God to make our church such a sanctuary, full of God’s power and glory! Then it will be an oasis for the people in our community who are seeking the water of life to quench their thirst!

Devotion 2 of 2: 1 Thess 3
This chapter shows the great influence that maintaining a good testimony has! Paul and his team were going through afflictions and tribulation (v.3-4) and therefore needed encouragement. So Paul sent Timothy to check up on the Thessalonians (v.2), help them and report back on how they were doing (v.5).
When Timothy brought back good news about the Thessalonians’ faith and love, Paul was greatly comforted in the midst of his afflictions (v.7)! Let’s maintain our faith and testimony so we can be an encouragement to the rest of the body of Christ!
