Devotion 1 of 2: Lev 15

This chapter deals with laws concerning bodily discharges. These were considered unclean, so laws were made for what offerings to bring for their cleansing. Two very personal discharges mentioned are semen for men (v.16-18) and blood for women (v.18-30). It is difficult for me to conceive of men bringing offerings to the priest every time they emitted semen in acts of masturbation or sexual intercourse. The same can be said of women bringing offerings to the priest every time they emitted blood during menstruation. So I wonder how these laws were implemented. Some things we will find out only when we get to heaven.

Devotion 2 of 2: Acts 15

(2/2)
1) Gentiles could be accepted into the church without circumcision or following the Law.
2) Because 3 parts of the prophecy apply to 3 time periods of the 2000-year history of the church:
*30 – 300AD. The early church realized God wanted to save Gentiles, too! “…so that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord even all the Gentiles who are called by my name” (.17).
*300 – 1500AD. The Compromising Church and the Medieval Church fell because they lost truth and God’s presence! “...the tabernacle of David which has fallen down...” (v.16).
*1500 – 20??. The Restored Church is being rebuilt by God to win the world to Christ! “…I will return and will rebuild the tabernacle of David…I will rebuild its ruins, and I will set it up; so that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord (v.16-17).
3) To bring forth a world-wide revival and save perhaps over 1B souls!
