Devotion 1 of 2: Lev 14
This chapter explains the rituals for the cleansing of lepers and leprous houses. These ceremonies were full of symbols of the cross cleansing us from sin!
One example is the 2 birds used in the ceremony. One was killed and its blood shed in an earthen vessel over running water (v.4-5). This symbolized Christ’s body being crucified and his blood shed for our sins.
The other bird was dipped in the blood with cedar wood and hyssop and then let loose in a field (v.6-7). This bird symbolized Jesus’ spirit, which was released upon his death to return to heaven. Luke 23:46 “Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit.” The cedar wood symbolizes the cross and the hyssop reveals hyssop would be used to give Jesus sour wine.
Thank you, Jesus, for your love revealed through the cross!

Devotion 2 of 2: Acts 14
(2/2)
1) The people wanted to worship Paul and Barnabas, but they stopped the people from doing that (v.11-18).
2) Some Jews from Antioch and Iconium persuaded the people to stone and kill Paul. But Paul’s team prayed for him and he was resurrected (v.19-20)!
3) Paul had an NDE, went to heaven and heard, experienced and learned amazing things! He testified about it in 2 Cor 12:1-6.
