Devotion 1 of 2: Rev 10
I believe that the little book (v.2), the 7 thunders (v.3) and the 7th trumpet (v.7) are probably all related. They symbolize the mystery of God that will be completed in the endtime (v.7). They were sealed up, to be released in the last days (v.4). They also will be both bitter to the stomach and sweet to the mouth (v.9). Their contents are likely to be prophecies about nations and kings concerning the endtime (v.11). Let’s always be sensitive to God for his revelations about what will happen in the endtime.

Devotion 2 of 2: Zech 6
In v.9-10, God told Zechariah to make an elaborate crown from the gifts of silver and gold from 3 returnees from Babylon and use it to crown Joshua the High Priest. The king-priest Joshua was a type of the Branch (v.12-13), Jesus, the Messiah, our King-Priest.
This reminds me of the gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh that the Wise Men from the East gave to Jesus, the new-born king of the Jews (Matt 1:1-11). From the story in Zech 6, it looks like their gifts were like a crown, recognizing Jesus as king! Although we may not have gold or silver, we can give praise as a crown to honor Jesus as our king! Let’s offer praise worthy of a king with all of our heart!
