Devotion 1 of 2: Amos 7
Despite Amos interceding for and protecting Israel from terrible judgments of locusts and fire (v.1-6), because of his prophecy of Israel’s captivity (v.11), he is rejected and told to return to Judah (v.12). Although we may speak the truth about the church having to confront AC, we, too, will be rejected and even perhaps despised and treated as “persona non grata.” Let us not be discouraged by this but keep our eyes on our Lord and our mission, for we will surely overcome!

Devotion 2 of 2: John 21
1) Because he had experienced the same miracle catch of fish when he first met Jesus in Luke 5:1-11.
2) He was telling Peter he would die as a prisoner, as a martyr. This was fulfilled when Peter was martyred in Rome around 64-68 AD. Let us also be faithful till death!
