Devotion 1 of 2: 1 Chron 22
1) God chose Solomon rather than David to build the temple because David was a man of war but Solomon was a man of peace and rest (v.8-10).
2) God did this to show that David (and DT) represented the church age with the church battling against Satan to save mankind from sin, while Solomon (and Solomon’s Temple) represents the Millennial Age because Satan will be bound, and there will be peace and rest for 1000 years.

Under David, 4000 Levites praised the Lord with musical instruments (v.5)! So he built a powerful worship team for the Tabernacle of David! As the LDC and DT Church, we also want to pray and believe for strong worship teams to be formed in our churches! Amen!
