Devotion 1 of 2: 2 Kings 10
Jehu wiped out the house of Ahab, the wickedest king in Israel’s history (v.17), and also destroyed Baal from Israel (v.28)! He could have been one of the greatest kings of Israel and could have changed the future of his nation so that it wouldn’t be exiled and dispersed, never to return again! But he failed by not turning aside from the sins of Jeroboam and not destroying the idolatrous golden calves in Bethel and Dan (v.29)! By God’s grace, I want to fully follow Jesus so that I can help bring forth an endtime revival that will see perhaps tens of millions of Japanese receive Jesus!

Devotion 2 of 2: 2 Kings 9
1) The people changed from mocking the prophet (v.11) to hastily taking off their garments and putting it under Jehu, then blowing the trumpet and proclaiming, “Jehu is king!” What a quick change in attitude! This shows the utmost respect they had in a prophecy about who is king!
2) We should show the highest respect toward God’s Word that declares us to be kings who will reign on earth! We should believe it to be true, expect it to be fulfilled and prepare ourselves to rule as a king with authority! I believe this will happen to a measure during the LDR, but in fullness in the Millennium.
