Devotion 1 of 2: 1 Kings 21
Jezebel hired 2 men to lie about Naboth and successfully had him stoned so that her husband, King Ahab, could get Naboth’s vineyard (v.5-14). A similar thing is happening in the U.S. as well as in many other countries. In the U.S., after the 2020 presidential election, many witnesses testified that they saw fraud, and some even gave detailed descriptions. But astonishingly, none of those accusations have been proven in court! Yet many millions of people still believe those lies and are convinced the election was stolen! In some countries women are stoned or Christians are killed because of someone’s testimony! We must beware of the spirit of Jezebel!

1) King Ahab was cowardly, cunning and deceitful, trying to have King Jehoshaphat killed instead of himself (v.30).
2) King Jehoshaphat was naïve and ignorant of Ahab’s scheme of getting Jehoshaphat killed in his place (v.4, 30).
