Devotion 1 of 2: Josh 5
The 1st thing God required of Israel after they entered the Promised Land was circumcision because they had not been circumcised during their journey in the wilderness (v.2-7). How does this apply to the LDR?
Spiritually, circumcision symbolizes the cutting away of our fleshly nature (Col 2:11), so in the next revival, the LDR, I believe the church will experience overcoming fleshly living and will walk in the Spirit, or, achieve full maturity. It is to this church that God will entrust spiritual authority to do the miraculous! Let’s seek God to “cross the Jordan and be circumcised”!

イスラエルが約束の地に入った後に神が最初に求められたのは割礼であった（2-3節）。なぜなら、彼らは荒野の旅の間、割礼を受けていなかったからである（4–7節）。このことはどのように終末リバイバルに適用されるのだろうか。
霊的には、割礼は肉の性質を脱ぎ捨てることを象徴している（コロ 2:11）。それゆえ、次のリバイバル（終末リバイバル）において、教会は肉に従う生き方を克服し、御霊によって歩み、すなわち全き成熟に達するではないかと信じる。神が奇跡を行うための霊的権威をゆだねるのは、まさにこのような教会に対してである。「ヨルダン川を渡り、割礼を受ける」ために神を求めようではないか。
Devotion 2 of 2: Josh 6
This chapter describes the famous Battle of Jericho. Archaeologists have confirmed the walls of this city were tall and seemingly impregnable! God gave Joshua a very unusual strategy: Carry the Ark and march around the city 1X for 6 days, then on the 7th day, march around 7X, then blow 7 trumpets and shout (v.3-5)!
When Israel obeyed, Jericho’s walls fell flat, and God gave Israel a great victory (v.20)! One important fact was that Israel remembered Rahab and spared her and her household from any harm because she hid the spies (v.25)!

本章は有名なエリコの戦いについて記述している。考古学者たちは、この町の城壁が高く、一見すると攻め難いものであったことを確認している。神はヨシュアに非常に異例な戦略を与えられた。契約の箱を担ぎ、町の周りを1日1回、6日間にわたって回り、7日目には7回回り、それから7つの角笛を吹き鳴らして大声をあげるというものであった（3–5節）。
イスラエルが従ったとき、エリコの城壁は崩れ落ち、神はイスラエルに大勝利を与えられた（20節）。重要な事実の一つは、イスラエルがラハブを覚えており、彼女が偵察隊を隠したため、彼女とその家族をいかなる危害からも守ったことである（25節）。
