Devotion 1 of 2: Josh 3

This chapter describes Israel crossing the Jordan to enter the Promised Land. This symbolizes the church entering into the LDR and experiencing the fulfillment of all the promises of God in the Bible.
One significant detail is that the Ark was carried into the Jordan 2000 cubits ahead of the people, causing the river to stop and create dry ground for Israel to cross over to Canaan (v.11-13). I believe this is a picture of our Ark, Jesus, being our example, and the LDC entering it 2000 years after the cross, which would be about 2027-2033!

Devotion 2 of 2: Josh 4

This chapter describes the 12 stones that were set up across the Jordan as a memorial so Israel would never forget the significance of what God did for them that day (v.1-6)!
Those stones were not only meant for Israel, but for the church, too! God wants us to understand the spiritual meaning of what happened that day because He will do it again for the church in the endtime! Let’s seek God to take us over the Jordan and into the Promised Land of His Word being fulfilled in our lives in His timing!
