Devotion 1 of 2: Hab 3
In this chapter Habakkuk prays for God to work in v.1. God answered that He would appear in glory in v.3-4, trample over the nations in v.5-12 and save His people in v.13-15. The prophet responded that although he saw no fruit in v.17, he would rejoice in v.18-19 and rest in the day of trouble, waiting for God to invade in v.16.
This chapter is a prophecy of Jesus returning to save Israel at the Battle of Armageddon in Rev 14-19. Let’s be like Habakkuk and intercede for Israel and the world’s repentance and salvation, believing it will come to pass!
Devotion 2 of 2: Luke 24
The 2 disciples headed to Emmaus (v.13) symbolize believers today. They thought Jesus would redeem Israel but were confused because He had been crucified (v.19-21). And that morning they heard rumors that He was alive but didn’t understand what was happening (v.22-24).
So, Jesus explained everything to them (v.25-27), and their hearts were set on fire (v.32)! Let’s let Jesus set our hearts on fire by learning from the Bible about His plans for revealing His glory and saving multitudes in the endtime (Rev 7:9-14)!
