Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 46
Two rivers are described in this psalm. The 1st one is a river of storms, destruction and judgment (v.1-3, 6). It appeared in Noah’s flood, in the Sea of Galilee when the disciples were caught in a storm, and in Paul’s voyage from Caesarea to Rome. Those who had God as their refuge experienced His help in the midst of this river (v.1)!
The 2nd is a river of life and joy (v.4-5, 7-11). It watered Eden, quenched the thirst of the Jews in the wilderness, flows out of those filled with the Spirit and will flow from the throne of God! Let’s drink from this river!

Devotion 2 of 2: 1 Cor 14
This chapter reveals God’s divine order concerning speaking in tongues and prophecy. The summary is that tongues should be spoken by all believers (as the sign of receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit), but not in a church service where it can cause confusion and stumbling (v.5, 15-19, 23).
On the other hand, prophecy (speaking God’s Word to exhort or proclaim the future) can be done in the church service because everyone can understand and benefit from it (v.3-5, 12, 24-25, 31). Let’s understand and use both correctly!

この章では、異言と預言に関する神の定めと秩序が明らかにされています。要約すると、異言はすべての信者が（聖霊のバプテスマを受けたしるしとして）語るべきものですが、混乱やつまずきの原因となる教会礼拝では語るべきではありません（5節、15-19節、23節）。
一方、預言（神の言葉を語り、励ましたり未来を告げたりすること）は、誰もが理解し、そこから益を得ることができるため、教会礼拝で行うことができます（3-5節、12節、24-25節、31節）。異言と預言の両方を理解し、正しく活用しましょう！
