Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 13
“How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?” (v.1). When I read this psalm, I suddenly had the thought that David wrote the psalms, not just as a reflection of his life, but also as a reflection of what his beloved nation Israel would be going through in the future.
During the Babylonian Captivity, the time under the Greek and Roman Empires, the great diaspora after 70AD, the holocaust under Germany, and the final persecution by AC, Israel cried out v.1. Let’s pray for God to answer them in the LD!

「主よ。いつまでですか。あなたは私を永久にお忘れになるのですか。いつまで御顔を私からお隠しになるのですか」（1節）。この詩篇を読んだとき、ダビデは詩篇を、自身の人生の反映としてだけでなく、愛するイスラエル民族が将来経験するであろう苦難の反映としても書いたのではないかという思いがふと湧き上がりました。
バビロン捕囚、ギリシャ・ローマ帝国の支配下、紀元70年以降の大離散、ドイツによる大虐殺、そして未来の反キの迫害の間、イスラエルは1節のように叫び続けました。神が終わりの時代に彼らの祈りに答えてくださるよう祈りましょう！

*v.5-8. Before Tribulation: Deception, False Christs, Wars, disasters, beginning of sorrows.
*v.9-13. 1st Half of Tribulation: Persecution, World missions, Betrayal even by family, Hated by all.
*v.14-17. Middle of Tribulation: AC enters Holiest of temple, Persecution against Israel starts.
*v.18-27. 2nd Half of Tribulation: Great tribulation, False Christs and Prophets, Natural disasters, 2nd coming on Mt. of Olives, Elect from earth and heaven = Alive and dead elect.
