Devotion 1 of 1: Num 28
Num 28-29 describe the offerings that God told Israel to give as: Daily (v.1-8), Sabbath (v.9-10), Monthly (v.11-15), Passover (v.16-25), Weeks (v.26-31), Trumpets (29:1-6), Atonement (29:7-11), and Tabernacles (29:12-40).
I want to focus on Passover. V.16 says that 1/14 is the Passover, and v.17 says 1/15 is the feast, so the Passover Feast wasn’t eaten on Passover day, but on 1/15, the 1st day of Unleavened Bread. 1/14 was the day of killing and cooking the Passover lamb, which was when Jesus was being crucified. Let’s thank God for Passover!

民28～29章には、神がイスラエルに命じた捧げ物は以下の通り･･･毎日（1～8節）、安息日（9～10節）、月ごと（11～15節）、過越（16～25節）、週ごと（26～31節）、角笛（29:1～6）、贖罪（29:7～11）、そして仮庵（29:12～40）です。
ここでは過越の捧げ物に注目したいと思います。16節には1/14が過越、17節には1/15が祭りとあります。つまり、過越の祭りは過越の日ではなく、種なしパンの祭りの初日である1/15に行われたのです。1/14は過越の小羊を屠り、調理する日であり、イエスが十字架につけられた日でもあります。過越の祭りに感謝しましょう！
