Devotion 1 of 2: Lev 24
In v.10-16, we find a story of a Jewish-Egyptian man who cursed God in a fight with another man. The law said that such a person should be punished by stoning, so that’s what was done to him.
This story shows how the name of the Lord was treated with deep respect in the OT. Today, unfortunately, there is no such respect in many people as they casually use the name of God or Jesus as cuss words to express anger or surprise or degradation. Let’s seek to speak clean words only, not foul or negative speech.

Devotion 2 of 2: Acts 24
Paul was arrested in Jerusalem, then, because Jewish zealots wanted to kill him there, he was sent to Caesarea for his protection (23:12-23). While at Caesarea, Paul was able to witness to Felix, the governor of that district (v.10-26), and then to Festus, who succeeded Felix (v.27).
Endtime application: Paul was told he would testify before kings (Acts 9:15). His arrest and imprisonment helped to bring it to pass! Jesus said we would testify before kings (Luke 21:12-13). AC’s persecution will make it happen!
