Devotion 1 of 2: Lev 22
This chapter contains laws for priests concerning ceremonial purity and handling of sacred offerings. Priests had to be clean in order to handle the holy things (Sacrifices, Furniture of Moses Tabernacle, Bread from Table, Oil for Lampstand, Incense, Water for Laver, etc.) of Israel (v.2) and to eat the sacrifices from the Altar (v.4).
But if priests do sin, they can be cleansed by spending a day (in repentance) and washing his body with water (v.6). This act of washing with water is the NT equivalent of repenting of sin. Let’s be clean NT priests of God!

この章には、祭司の儀式的清浄と聖なる供え物の取り扱いに関する律法が記されています。祭司は、イスラエルの聖なる物（いけにえ、モーセの幕屋の器具、食卓のパン、燭台の油、香、洗盤の水など）を扱ったり（2節）、祭壇のいけにえを食べたりするために（4節）、清くなければなりませんでした。
しかし、祭司が罪を犯した場合、一日をかけて（悔い改め）、水で体を洗うことで清められます（6節）。この水で体を洗う行為は、新約聖書の罪の悔い改めと受洗に相当します。私たちは清い新約聖書の神の祭司となりましょう！

Devotion 2 of 2: Acts 22
This chapter relates Paul testifying to the Jews and their rejection of his testimony at Jerusalem. The Jews listened to Paul’s testimony until he said God told him that He would send him to the Gentiles (v.21). When they heard this, the Jews reacted violently and wanted to kill Paul (v.22-23)!
This reaction shows how deeply imbedded in the Jews the concept of being God’s special chosen people was. They could not accept Paul because he treated the Gentiles as equal to the Jews! Let’s pray for the Jews!

この章では、パウロがエルサレムでユダヤ人たちに証言し、彼らがその証言を拒絶した様子が描かれています。ユダヤ人たちはパウロの証言に耳を傾けていましたが、彼が神から異邦人のもとへ遣わされると告げられたと話すと（21節）、激怒し、パウロを殺そうとしました（22-23節）。
この反応は、ユダヤ人にとって自分たちが神の特別な選びの民であるという概念がいかに深く根付いていたかを示しています。彼らはパウロが異邦人をユダヤ人と同等に扱うのを、受け入れられなかったのです。ユダヤ人のために祈りましょう。
