Devotion 1 of 2: Lev 9
After 7 days of consecration (8:35), the priests began their ministry in chapter 9 (v.1-23). The result was that God’s glory appeared to all the people, and fire from the Lord consumed the burnt offering on the altar (v.23-24)!
Before Jesus began His public ministry, He received the Holy Spirit and then was tested by Satan for 40 days in the wilderness. After this, Jesus began to do mighty signs and wonders, and God’s glory was manifested in Israel! Let’s also be willing to be cleansed through persecution, and then will manifest God’s glory!

Devotion 2 of 2: Acts 9
V.22 says, “But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt in Damascus, proving that this Jesus is the Christ.” Saul violently opposed Christianity by arresting and causing the death of many believers (v.1-2).
Yet, this same man was dramatically converted (v.1-6) and soon became an avid promoter of the faith he once persecuted! One reason Paul was effective in evangelism was because he could prove that Jesus was the Christ! Let us study the Bible so we, too, can “prove” to people that Jesus is the Savior!

22節にはこうあります。「しかしサウロはますます力を増し、イエスがキリストであることを証明して、ダマスコに住むユダヤ人たちをうろたえさせた。」サウロは多くの信者を逮捕し、殺害することでキリスト教に激しく反対しました（1-2節）。
しかし、この同じ人物が劇的に回心し（1-6節）、かつて迫害していた信仰を熱心に広める者となったのです！パウロが伝道において大きな成果を上げたのは、イエスがキリストであることを証明できたからに他なりません。私たちも聖書を学び、イエスが救い主であることを人々に「証明」できるようにしましょう！
