Devotion 1 of 3: Lev 7
This chapter outlines instructions for priests concerning trespass, sin, burnt, and grain offerings (v.1-10) and peace offerings (v.11-21). In v.28-34, the Lord spoke about the portion of the sacrifices to be given to Aaron and his sons. I believe this included all the priests because the volume of meat would be too much for just 3 families.
When I spoke at Faith’s ordination ceremony, I taught from Gal 6:6 that the sheep should help support the shepherd’s living expenses. This was what Israel did with their priests. I thank God that Shalom does this, too.

Devotion 2 of 3: Acts 7
This chapter describes the final witness and martyrdom of Stephen. Stephen is an example of one who became “great” by becoming a servant, as Jesus taught in Matt 23:11. After serving food to the widows in the church, God used Stephen to spread the gospel through signs and wonders in Acts 6.
How we admire Stephen and wish we could be like him! But after being used in healing and miracles, Stephen was promoted even higher by becoming the 1st Christian martyr! Let’s be like Stephen in martyrdom, also!

Devotion 3 of 3: Matt 21
This Scripture shows Jesus entering Jerusalem. This day is celebrated as Palm Sunday. The reason for “Palm” is because the Jews greeted Him waving palm and other branches (v.8). But the day isn’t written, so why Sunday?
The reason is because the Passover lamb was chosen on the 10th day of the 1st month and killed on the 14th (Lev 23:3, 6). So, Jesus was chosen by the people on Sunday, and 4 days later, on Thursday, was crucified, then 3 days later, on Sunday, He resurrected. Let’s study Israel’s feasts to understand the cross and resurrection more!
