Devotion 1 of 2: Lev 6
This chapter contains laws about the burnt, grain and sin offerings. One significant rule about the fire of the burnt offering on the Brazen Altar in the Outer Court was its fire was always burning; it never went out (v.13).
Spiritual application: The Brazen Altar was the place where sin offerings were sacrificed, so it symbolizes salvation and the cross. I think the perpetual fire symbolizes how our hearts should always have a passionate love for Jesus for dying for our sins! Let’s never forget what Jesus did for us on Calvary!

Devotion 2 of 2: Acts 6
This chapter describes Stephen’s rise in ministry before becoming the first martyr of the Christian Church. He is an example of one who was faithful in the little things, so God promoted him to greater things (Matt 25:21). His “little things” was serving the widows of the church by cooking and feeding them (v.1-6)!
Because Stephen was faithful in the little things, God used him to do great wonders among the people (v.8)! David also, faithfully protected his sheep by killing a lion, so God elevated him to protect Israel by killing Goliath!

この章では、ステパノがキリスト教会の最初の殉教者となる前、彼の信仰と働きの成長ぶりについて描いています。彼は小さなことに忠実だったため、神により大きな働きへと昇格させられた人の模範です（マタイ25:21）。彼の「小さなこと」とは、教会のやもめたちに料理を作り、給仕することでした（1-6節）。
