Devotion 1 of 2: Job 33
Young Elihu continues his talk in this chapter. His main point in this chapter against Job is v.8-13: You can’t argue against God because He is greater than man! So, when you say even though you have no sin, God sees you as an enemy, you are wrong!
To accept the basic argument that Elihu makes here is the greatest lesson we can learn from the book of Job. It requires great faith and patience! But if we do accept Elihu’s statement, we will see God’s goodness in the end!

Devotion 2 of 2: Philem 1
In this short epistle, Paul is interceding to Philemon on behalf of Onesimus (v.10). Onesimus had wronged Philemon in the past (v.18) but was led to salvation by Paul (v.10), so he was now a changed man (v.11). Paul was asking Philemon to forgive and accept Onesimus as a brother in Christ (v.15-16).
Paul is showing us a beautiful example of a peacemaker, one who removes barriers and reconciles people who are divided against each other. Let’s also be peacemakers, for they are called children of God (Matt 5:9)!
