Devotion 1 of 2: Gen 41
This chapter describes Joseph’s release from prison and ascension to rulership over all Egypt, the fulfillment of his dream! But how did his dream come to pass despite severe reverses of becoming a slave, then a prisoner, and finally, being forgotten?
When Pharoah asked if Joseph could interpret his dream, Joseph said in v.16, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.” In other words, Joseph believed that God could interpret dreams, and they were correct! And this applied to his dream as well! Like Joseph, let’s believe that God will fulfill our dream, too, of LDR!

Devotion 2 of 2: Gen 42
The sometimes puzzling story of Joseph selling grain to his brothers, hiding his cup in their bag, threatening to make Benjamin his slave, etc., begins here and continues until chapter 45! But why spend so much time on just buying and selling grain? The answer is because this episode has important spiritual lessons for us!
The central lesson is reconciliation and restoration, forgiveness and unity, which are so necessary for the LDC to come into existence! In this chapter, the scene is set as 10 brothers go to Egypt to buy grain and meet Joseph!
