Devotion 1 of 2: Mic 1
In this chapter, the prophet Micah declares judgment on Israel and Jerusalem for their sins, like in v.4-5a, “The mountains will melt under Him, and the valleys will split like wax before the fire, like waters poured down a steep place. All this is for the transgression of Jacob and for the sins of the house of Israel.”
Endtime application: Israel and Jerusalem represent endtime believers who are walking in sin, compromising with AC to avoid persecution. They will not be raptured when Christ comes for the LDC in the middle of the tribulation. Instead, they will have to suffer the judgment of God through various disasters upon mankind.
Some of the judgments are: 1/3 of sun, moon and stars darkened; 1/3 of mankind die from 3 plagues; loathsome sore upon mankind; sea, rivers, springs become blood; all sea life die; huge hail falls upon men; etc.
Devotion 2 of 2: Heb 8
Because the old covenant, the Law, had faults, God replaced it with a new, and better, covenant (v.6-8). Israel did not continue in the old covenant, so God had to disregard it and replace it with the covenant of grace, putting His law in the minds and hearts of people (v.9-10).
I believe we haven’t seen the full benefits of the new covenant yet! Rather, we’ll see it during the LDR. The believers who experience the LDR will experience a transformation through the Holy Spirit so that they will keep the law of God written in their minds and hearts, and they will all know the Lord intimately (v.10-11)!
Only then can they become the glorious church, without spot or wrinkle, and display the love and power of God to the world! Let’s pray we can be a part of the LDC!
