Devotion 1 of 2: Hos 2

In this chapter, God shows how He would bring Israel back to him. It was by punishing her for her sins by not blessing her grain (v.9), grapes and figs (v.12). This would cause Israel to wander in the wilderness, where God would speak tenderly to her to draw her back to Him through a door of hope (v.14-15).
When I was 19 years old, I attended a special meeting at a church called “Door of Hope.” God spoke to me, and I surrendered my life completely to Him and made Jesus the Lord of my life! The next morning, when I awoke, I was amazed because I was completely transformed! I had been born again and saved!
Every church is called to be a Door of Hope to bring lost souls to salvation in Christ! Let’s pray that SI can be a Door of Hope to hundreds of people in the Okubo and Tokyo area!

Devotion 2 of 2: John 2

V.23-25 say that many people believed in Jesus’ name because of the signs they saw. But Jesus didn’t accept them because He knew their hearts were not sincere!
This is a very important point because during the LDR, we will be doing many signs and wonders while preaching the gospel. Many people will be drawn to the miracles, will get excited, and will raise their hands to accept Christ. But, sadly, some of them will be insincere, and we need to discern their hearts!
Let’s seek to hear Jesus’ voice! Even if people outwardly profess faith in Christ, we want to be sure their hearts are right with God! If we accept them carelessly, they may do much damage in the church by hurting people, causing confusion or division and stumbling many new converts! Let’s seek God for discernment!
