Devotion 1 of 2: Dan 1

Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego are symbols of the LDC. They were taken captive to Babylon around 605 BC in the 1st wave of Jewish captives. The other 2 waves of captives were taken to Babylon in 597 BC and 586 BC. The latter date was when Jerusalem and the Temple were completely destroyed.
One important lesson to learn from these 4 men is not to compromise with the world (v.5-16). They were commanded to eat food from the king’s delicacies, but they didn’t want to defile themselves, so they were tested for 10 days. This test proved their health was superior to others, so they were allowed to eat what they desired.
In the end, these 4 were found to be 10x better in wisdom and understanding than the magicians and astrologers of Babylon (v.20)! Obeying God without compromise to the world will cause us to excel also!

ダニエル、シャデラク、メシャク、アベデ・ネゴは終末教会の象徴です。彼らは紀元前605年頃、ユダヤ人捕虜の第一波としてバビロンに連行されました。残りの二度の捕虜は紀元前597年と586年にバビロンに連行されました。後者はエルサレムと神殿が完全に破壊された年です。
この4人から学ぶべき重要な教訓の一つは、世と妥協しないことです（5-16節）。彼らは王の御馳走を食べるように命じられましたが、自らを汚すことを望まなかったため、10日間の試しを受けました。この試しによって彼らの健康状態が他の者よりも優れていることが証明されたため、彼らは好きなものを食べることを許されました。
最終的に、この4人はバビロンの呪法師や呪文師よりも10倍も知恵と悟りに優れていることが判明しました（20節）。世と妥協することなく神に従うことは、私たち自身も優れた者となることにつながります。

Devotion 2 of 2: Dan 2

This chapter tells the amazing story of Daniel revealing and interpreting King Nebuchadnezzar’s (KN) dream! At first, KN demands of his spiritual advisers to tell him his dream and give its interpretation (v.1-9), but the advisers cannot, so KN declares he will execute them (v.10-13)!
But Daniel prays, and God reveals the dream to him! It was an astounding prophetic dream of the 6 kingdoms that would appear on earth! In the dream was an image with a head was gold, which was Babylon. The chest and arms were silver, meaning Assyria. The belly and thighs were bronze, or Greece.
The legs were iron, meaning Rome, and the feet were part iron and part clay, which was AC’s endtime empire. Finally, a stone struck the feet, destroying them, and became a mountain that filled the earth! This was Christ’s Millennial Kingdom on earth!

デボーション2/2：ダニ2章

この章は、ダニエルがネブカデネザル王（NO）の夢を解き明かすという驚くべき物語です。最初、NOは霊的な助言者たちに、夢とその解釈を知らせるよう求めます（1-9節）。しかし、助言者たちは答えることができず、NOは彼らを処刑すると宣言します（10-13節）。
しかし、ダニエルが祈り求めると、神は夢を明かします。それは地上に現れる6つの王国についての驚くべき預言的な夢でした。夢には、金の頭を持つ像が現れました。この頭はバビロン、銀の胸と腕はアッシリア、青銅の腰はギリシャです。
鉄の脚はローマ、そして足は鉄と粘土でできていて、これは反キの終末の帝国です。最後に、石が足を打って像を打ち砕き、地を満たす山となりました。これがキリストの地上における千年王国です。
