Devotion 1 of 2: Eccl 9

V.12 says, “For man also does not know his time: Like fish taken in a cruel net, like birds caught in a snare, so the sons of men are snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them.”
Solomon is saying in v.11 that the swiftest runner doesn’t necessarily win the race nor the strongest win the battle! But it depends on timing and chance! Then in v.12, he claims that we don’t know when evil timing will fall suddenly upon us, and we are caught in a snare!
This is the exact opposite of what I am writing yesterday and today about 2 Cor 8-9! My crypto investment looked like bad timing and a big loss for 3 whole years, but I endured, believed and prayed! And God turned the bad into good and the curse into a blessing! The difference is whether we believe God or not! Let’s believe God!

Devotion 2 of 2: 2 Cor 9

I will continue my testimony of giving from yesterday. V.6-7 “…he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”
At first, my investment didn’t do well. It lost some value. But I just endured for 3 long years, believing and praying that it would rise again. And this year, it finally rose. But it went down and up and down again, so timing the sale was crucial. And on Sun-Mon, 10/5-6, my crypto shot up, so I decided to sell it and set the price!
When the crypto reached my set price, the sale went through! I shouted praise to God because He did everything! I want to give the tithe on my land sale back to God, and I would like to use the rest of the sales income to give to 4 different churches, 2 abroad and 2 in Japan. I thank the Lord that He’s enabling me to give to His Kingdom!
