Devotion 1 of 2: Eccl 6

V.7 says, “All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the soul is not satisfied.” This verse explains the cause of Solomon’s problems and vexations as expressed in this book (“All is vanity!” 1:2). Solomon was satisfying his fleshly desires, but that could not satisfy his soul! Only when we seek after spiritual things can our soul be satisfied!

10/3（金）伝6章（デボーション1）
7節には、「人の労苦はみな、自分の口のためである。しかし、その食欲(ヘブライ語=人)は決して満たされない」とあります。この節は、1章2節の「すべては空である！」で表現されているソロモンの苦悩の原因を説明しています。ソロモンは肉の欲望を満たしていましたが、それでは彼自身は満たされませんでした。霊的なものを追い求める時にのみ、人は満たされるのです。

Devotion 2 of 2: 2 Cor 6

This chapter has a powerful message for the LDC! When AC persecutes us, let’s remember v.1-10! V.4-5 “But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings…” By God’s grace, we can do it!
Also, when AC orders us to join in worshiping his image, let’s recall v.14-16 “Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers…And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God.”
And when AC commands us to join his movement, let’s remember v.17, ““Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.”

この章には終末教会への力強いメッセージがあります！反キが私たちを迫害する時、4-5節を思い出しましょう！「あらゆることにおいて、自分を神のしもべとして推薦しているのです。すなわち非常な忍耐と、悩みと、苦しみと、嘆きの中で、また、むち打たれるときにも、入獄にも、暴動にも、労役にも、徹夜にも、断食にも…」。私たちはできるように祈りましょう！
また、反キがその像を崇拝するよう命じるとき、14-16節を思い起こしましょう。「不信者と、つり合わぬくびきをいっしょにつけてはいけません。…キリストとベリアルとに、何の調和があるでしょう。信者と不信者とに、何のかかわりがあるでしょう。神の宮と偶像とに、何の一致があるでしょう。あなた方は生ける神の宮なのです。」
そして、反キが自分の運動に参加するよう命じるとき、17節を思い出しましょう。「それゆえ、彼らの中から出て行き、彼らと分離せよ、と主は言われる。汚れたものに触れないようにせよ。そうすれば、わたしはあなたがたを受け入れよう。」
