Devotion 1 of 2: Neh 11
In this chapter it was decided who would live in Jerusalem (v.1-24) and who would live in other cities of Judah (v.20-21, 25-36). Among those who lived in Jerusalem were members of the tribes of Judah (v.4-6) and Benjamin (v.7-9) and also priests (v.10-14) and Levites (v.15-18).
The difference between Levites and priests was that Levites were all descendants of Levi, one of the 12 sons of Jacob, but the priests had to be descendants of Aaron within the tribe of Levi.
The Levites supported the priests by transporting the Tabernacle in the wilderness, maintaining the Temple, praising and playing instruments and also served as teachers and judges and maintained the Cities of Refuge. The priests performed sacrifices in the Outer Court and sacred rituals in the Holy Place and Holy of Holies.
Let’s fulfill our duties as NT priests (1 Pet 2:9)!

この章では、エルサレムに誰が住むか（1-24節）、ユダの他の町々に誰が住むか（20-21節、25-36節）が定められました。エルサレムに住んだ人々の中には、ユダ族（4-6節）とベニヤミン族（7-9節）の者、そして祭司（10-14節）、そしてレビ人（15-18節）がいました。
レビ人と祭司の違いは、レビ人は皆ヤコブの12人の息子の一人であるレビの子孫であったのに対し、祭司はレビ族のアロンの子孫でなければならなかったことです。
レビ人は、荒野で幕屋を運搬し、神殿を維持し、賛美と楽器の演奏を行って祭司を支え、また教師や裁判官として仕え、逃れの町を維持しました。祭司は外庭でいけにえを捧げ、聖所と至聖所で神聖な儀式を行いました。
新約の祭司としての務めを全うしましょう（1ペテロ2:9）！
Devotion 2 of 2: Neh 12
V.27-43 describe the Jews celebrating the dedication of the walls of Jerusalem upon their restoration. The priests and Levites played a central role in the celebration by leading the music and worship and by purifying the people and the walls (v.27-30).
Two large thanksgiving choirs sang and rejoiced with great joy so that their sound was heard afar off (v.43)! The praise ministry of the Levites and priests was such a blessing that all of Judah rejoiced over them and gave them (generous) portions of their sacrifices (v.44-47)!
Endtime application: The ministry of praise and worship will be a powerful part of the LDC! It will usher in God’s presence in the church service and produce tremendous blessing! Let’s pray for our worship team!

27-43節は、ユダヤ人がエルサレムの城壁の復興を祝う様子を描いています。祭司とレビ人は、音楽と賛美を導き、民と城壁を聖めることによって、この祝典において中心的な役割を果たしました（27-30節）。
二つの大きな感謝の聖歌隊が歌い、大いに喜びました。その歌声は遠くまで聞こえました（43節）。レビ人と祭司たちの賛美のミニストリーは、ユダの人々をあまりにも祝福したので、民はいけにえを惜しみなく彼らに分け与えて上げたのです（44-47節）。
終末への適用：賛美・礼拝のミニストリーは、終末教会の力強い一部となるでしょう。 それは教会の礼拝に神の臨在をもたらし、計り知れない祝福を分け与えるでしょう。私たちのワーシップ・チームのために祈りましょう！
