Devotion 1 of 2: Prov 29

V.18 says, “Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint…” The KJV (King James Version) says it this way: “Where there is no vision, the people perish…” I like the KJV because it is so direct and powerful.
Endtime application: The KJV translation of v.18 shows the necessity of having a concrete LDR vision based on the Word of God! We will perish without one! So, let’s study the Word and firmly grasp a Bible-based endtime vision!

9/8（月）箴言29章（デボーション1）
18a節には「幻がなければ、民はほしいままにふるまう。」とあります。欽定訳聖書（King James Version, KJV）では「幻のない民は滅びる」と訳されています。私は欽定訳聖書がとても直接的で力強いので気に入っています。
終末への適用：18a節の欽定訳聖書は、神の言葉に基づいた具体的な終末のビジョンを持つことの必要性を示しています。ビジョンがなければ、私たちは滅びてしまいます！ですから、御言葉を学び、聖書に基づいた終末のビジョンをしっかりと把握しましょう！

Devotion 2 of 2: 1 John 5

V.6 says that Jesus came by water and blood. There are many interpretations of what the water and blood mean. My opinion is that the water means Jesus was introduced by John the Baptist at His water baptism, and the blood means He fulfilled His mission of coming to earth by shedding His blood on the cross.
Concerning v.7-8, almost all Bible scholars believe that some additions 1st made in 14th century manuscripts should be left out. The Japanese Bible supports this viewpoint. So, a more accurate version of v.7-8 would be: “7 For there are three that bear witness 8 the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.”
While a few human mistakes in copying the Bible were made, it is estimated to be 99.5% accurate, which is an astounding figure! This shows we can certainly put our trust in the Bible as God’s Word to mankind!

6節は、イエスが水と血によって来られたと述べています。水と血の意味については様々な解釈があります。私の見解は、水はイエスが水のバプテスマを通してヨハネによって紹介されたことを意味し、血はイエスが十字架上で血を流すことによって地上に来る使命を果たしたことを意味すると思います。
7-8節に関しては、ほとんどすべての聖書学者が、14世紀の写本で最初に追加された、いくつかの記述は省略すべきだと考えています。日本語聖書はこの見解を支持しています。したがって、7-8節のより正確な訳は次のようになります。「7 あかしするものが三つあります。8 御霊と水と血です。この三つがひとつとなるのです。」
聖書の写本作成において多少の人為的なミスはあったものの、その正確さは99.5%と推定されており、これは驚くべき数字です。これは、聖書が人類への神の言葉として確かに信頼できることを示しています。
