Devotion 1 of 2: Prov 7
This chapter contrasts 2 women, wisdom (v.1-4) and seductress (v.5-27). We all need to form a strong tie to wisdom or we will fall to the temptation of seductress. For those who choose the seductress over wisdom, their path will lead to death and hell (v.27). Let’s always choose wisdom for our companion!

この章では、知恵（1-4節）と誘惑する女（5-27節）という二人の女性を対比しています。私たちは皆、知恵と強い絆を結ばなければ、誘惑する女の誘いに陥ってしまいます。知恵よりも誘惑する女を選ぶ者は、死とよみへと至る道を歩みます（27節）。常に知恵を伴侶として選びましょう。
Devotion 2 of 2: Luke 7
In the story of Jesus at Simon, the Pharisee’s house in v.36-50, a sinful woman appears. She shows respect to Jesus which Simon didn’t show, washing His feet, greeting Him with a kiss, and anointing Him with fragrant oil (v.44-46). Jesus rewarded her by forgiving her sins (v.48).
Are we more like this woman or like Simon? No doubt we think we’re like the woman because Simon was cold and looking down on Jesus, while she was humble and showing Him respect.
But Matt 25:31-46 teaches that every person we meet is actually Jesus! How do we behave toward those we don’t like or think are below us? I think I often act more like Simon than the woman toward those kinds of people. I need to repent of my pride and ask the Lord to give me the heart of this woman so that I show kindness to everyone I meet.
