Devotion 1 of 2: Prov 2
V.3 says if we cry out for discernment and lift up our voice for understanding, we will find the knowledge of God (v.5), along with understanding (v.6) and wisdom (v.7).
Jesus warned that the endtime will be full of deception, and many will be deceived (Matt 24:4, 5, 11). Especially this is true for authoritarian regimes, such as Russia, North Korea, etc., and other nations which control the media. In one country, the leader spills out many, many lies every day to deceive his people. Let’s cry out for discernment and understanding so we will not fall prey to these ravenous wolves or the devil who is behind them.

Devotion 2 of 2: Luke 2
This chapter describes the birth of Christ and some events surrounding His birth. It concludes with v.52, “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” Jesus is our model of growing and maturing. He grew in intellect, in physical body, in spirituality and in social life. Let’s all try our best to follow His example and grow with a good balance before God and man!
