Devotion 1 of 2: Ezek 29
This is the 1st of 4 chapters of prophetic judgment against Egypt. God allowed Babylon to conquer Egypt (v.19). In this chapter, v.6-7 says the judgment was because when Judah asked them for help against Babylon’s invasion, Egypt was just a staff of reed and that broke and injured Judah and didn’t help at all (2 Kings 18:19-21).
Endtime application: When AC persecutes the church, we should not seek help from the world or from man’s wisdom or strength. Let’s remember: The world cannot help us, only God can!

この章はエジプトに対する預言的な裁きを記した4章のうちの最初のものです。神はバビロンにエジプトを征服することを許しました（19節）。この章の6-7節には、ユダがバビロンの侵略からエジプトに助けを求めたのに、エジプトは葦の杖しかなく、それが折れてユダを傷つけ、全く役に立たなかったために、この裁きが下されたと記されています（2列18:19-21）。
終末への適用： 反キが教会を迫害するとき、私たちは世の知恵や力に助けを求めるべきではありません。覚えておきましょう。私たちを助けることはできるのは、世ではなく、神だけです！
Devotion 2 of 2: 1 Cor 1
Corinth was a major port city, making it a large commercial-religious center in the region. On his 2nd missionary journey, after visiting Athens, Paul stayed and preached the gospel in Corinth for 1.5 years (Acts :18:11). The Corinth Church had many problems, so Paul had to correct the problems, making this epistle valuable in church building.
The 1st problem Paul confronts is division (v.10-17). Corinth members were following Paul or Apollos or Cephas or Christ! Paul deals with this problem again in this letter.
Another problem in the church was emphasizing wisdom and not valuing the gospel because of its simplicity (v.18-25). Paul declared God would destroy the wise and save the world through the foolishness of the gospel!
Let’s look ahead at learning many things about solving church problems through this epistle!

コリントは主要な港湾都市であり、この地域における商業と宗教の中心地でした。パウロは第二回宣教旅行でアテネを訪れた後、コリントに滞在し、1年半にわたって福音を宣べ伝えました（使18:11）。コリント教会は多くの問題を抱えておりました。パウロはそれらの問題を解決するため、この手紙を書いたので、この書簡は教会建設において貴重なものとなっています。
パウロが直面した最初の問題は分裂です（10-17節）。コリントの信徒たちは、パウロ、アポロ、ケパ、それともキリストに従っていたのです。パウロはこの手紙の中でこの問題を再び取り上げています。
教会におけるもう一つの問題は、知恵を強調し、福音の簡潔さゆえにそれを重んじていなかったことです（18-25節）。その姿勢に対して、パウロは、神は賢い者を滅ぼし、福音の愚かさを通して世界を救うと宣言したのです。
この手紙を通して、教会の問題を解決するために多くのことを学びましょう！
