Devotion 1 of 2: Jer 32
King Zedekiah put Jeremiah in prison for prophesying that Judah will be defeated by Babylon and Zedekiah would be taken captive to Babylon (v.1-5). The reason for this calamity has been pointed out over and over in Jeremiah, but it was because Judah had committed sins of idolatry even in the Temple, sacrificed their children to Molech, practiced immorality, etc. (v.29-35).
While in prison, God told Jeremiah to buy his uncle’s field and preserve the purchase deed in a container to keep for a long time (v.6-14). The reason for this was to show that the Jews taken captive would eventually return to possess their land (v.15). God repeated this promise many times to show that He would certainly keep it (v.36-44)!
In the last days God will restore Israel and the church. It is His promised and it will certainly come true! Let’s believe it and prepare for it!

ゼデキヤ王は、エレミヤがユダがバビロンに敗れ、王がバビロンに捕らえられると預言したため、預言者を牢獄に入れました（1-5節）。この災難の理由はエレミヤ書の中で何度も指摘されていますが、それはユダが神殿でさえも偶像崇拝の罪を犯し、子供たちをモレクに犠牲に捧げ、不道徳な行いをしていたなどのためでした（29-35節）。
獄中、神はエレミヤに叔父の畑を買い、その購入証書を容器に入れて長期間保管するように言われました（6-14節）。これは捕らえられたユダヤ人が最終的に自分たちの土地を所有するために戻ってくることを示すためでした（15節）。神はこの約束を必ず守ることを示すために、何度も繰り返して、その約束を言われました（36-44節）。
終わりの日に、神はイスラエルと教会を回復します。それは、何度も聖書のあらゆる御言葉を通して、神が繰り返して約束しています。ですから、それは必ず実現します！それを信じて準備しましょう！
Devotion 2 of 2: Rom 4
In this chapter, Paul is continuing his role as the defense attorney, which he switched to in 3:21. So, the human race, which he had condemned as the prosecutor in 1:1-3:20, he now defends! And he calls 2 witnesses, Abraham and David, to testify for mankind that they can be righteous and not be condemned to sin.
Paul points out that Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness (v.3)! He further claims that Abraham was accounted righteous while he was uncircumcised (v.10)! And David is an example of someone to whom God imputed righteousness apart from works (v.6-8).
Another important truth that Paul points out is that the promise that Abraham and his seed (Christians, included!) would inherit the world was also given, not because of our works, but our faith (v.13)! So, let’s believe that God will keep His promise and give the church in Japan this nation during the LDR!
デボーション2/2：Rom 4
この章でパウロは、3:21で弁護士の役割に切り替え、引き続きその役割を担っています。つまり、1:1-3:20で検察官として非難した人類を、今度は擁護するのです！そして、パウロはアブラハムとダビデという2人の証人を呼び、人類が義人となり、罪に定められないことを証言させます。
パウロは、アブラハムが神を信じ、それが彼の義とみなされたことを指摘します（3節）。さらに、アブラハムは割礼を受けていないのに義人とみなされたと主張します（10節）。そして、ダビデは、行いとは関係なく神が義とみなした人の例です（6-8節）。
パウロが指摘するもう一つの重要な真理は、アブラハムとその子孫（クリスチャンも含む！）が世界を受け継ぐという約束も、私たちの行いではなく、私たちの信仰によって与えられたということです（13節）。ですから、神が約束を守り、終末リバイバルの間に日本の教会にこの国を与えてくださると信じましょう。
