Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 149
In v.6-9, this psalm teaches that praise can be a weapon of spiritual warfare: “6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, 7 To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute on them the written judgment—This honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord!”
When Moab, Ammon and Mt. Seir attacked Israel in 2 Chron 20, the worshipers fulfilled v.6-7 by marching ahead of the soldiers and leading Israel to victory! Also, when bound in the Philippian jail in Acts 20, Paul and Silas used their spiritual weapon of praise, not to bind enemy kings with chains of iron (v.8), but to break their own chains so they could be set free and then lead the jailor to salvation!
When the enemy attacks us, let’s also use praise to break down his strength and bring us the victory instead!

詩149篇: 自由なわかちあい!
6-9節で、この詩篇は、賛美が霊的戦いの武器になり得ることを教えています。「6 彼らの口には神への高き賛美があり、彼らの手には両刃の剣があり、7 諸国に復讐し、諸国の民に罰を与え、8 彼らの王を鎖でつなぎ、貴族を鉄の足かせでつなぎ、9 彼らに書かれた裁きを執行する。これが主のすべての聖徒の栄誉である。主をほめたたえよ！」
2歴20章では、モアブ、アンモン、セイル山がイスラエルを攻撃したとき、賛美隊が兵士たちの先頭に立ってイスラエルを勝利に導くことで6-7節を成就しました！また、使徒20章でピリピの牢獄に閉じ込められたとき、パウロとシラスは賛美という霊的武器を使い、敵の王たちを鉄の足かせでつなぐためではなく（8節）、自分たちの鎖を断ち切って解放し、看守を救いに導くために使いました！
敵が攻撃してきたとき、私たちも賛美によって敵の力を打ち砕き、勝利をもたらしましょう。
Devotion 2 of 2: Ps 150
This psalm encourages us to use our voices and all kinds of instruments to make loud sounds of praise in the sanctuary and out in nature for God’s mighty acts and also for His excellent attributes!
I remember when I prayed for a woman with evil spirits. Every time I said words like Jesus, God, cross, salvation, blood of Christ, Bible, Hallelujah, etc., the demon could not stand it and would react with shouts, cries, moans, whimpers, rage, fear, etc.! It wanted me to stop because it suffered pain from hearing those words!
So, let’s worship God throughout the day and inflict the powers of evil with pain and anguish by our songs of joy!

この詩篇は、私たちが声やあらゆる楽器を使って、礼拝堂や自然の中で、神の偉大な御業と神の優れた特質を賛美する大声を上げるように励ましています。
悪霊にとりつかれた女性のために祈ったときのことを覚えています。私がイエス、神、十字架、救い、キリストの血、聖書、ハレルヤなどの言葉を口にするたびに、悪霊は我慢できず、叫び声、泣き声、うめき声、すすり泣き、怒り、恐怖などで反応しました。悪魔はそれらの言葉を聞くことで苦痛を感じていたので、私に止めてほしかったのです。
ですから、私たちは一日中神をたたえて、喜びの歌で悪の勢力に苦痛と苦悩を与えましょう。
