Devotion 1 of 3: Ps 114
This short psalm asks questions about Israel’s journey out of Egypt and into the Promised Land in v.5-6, “What ails you, O sea, that you fled? O Jordan, that you turned back? O mountains, that you skipped like rams? O little hills, like lambs?”
The answer is found in v.7, “Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob…” In other words, it was the presence of God that caused the Red Sea to open so Israel could be delivered from Egypt, and the Jordan River to turn back so that Israel could enter Canaan!
In applying this psalm to our experience, we realize that it was the presence of the Lord that caused us to believe in Christ and get saved. And it will be the presence of the Lord that will cause us to enter the endtime revival and reap an innumerable harvest of souls in Japan and the world!
So, let’s seek for the presence of the Lord in our daily life and in our Sunday services! O Lord, we long for Your presence with us every moment of every day! And we seek for Your glory and power to be with us every time we gather in Your name!

Devotion 2 of 3: Luke 1
Like Joseph, Mary is a picture of courage, faith and being willing to sacrifice herself to serve others! The message the angel brought to Mary of conceiving before marriage was dangerous and could cause her to be stoned (v.31, 34)!
But because the child would be the Son of God and the Messiah and would establish His kingdom on earth without end, which was the answer to the prayers of so many Jews, she courageously took a step of faith and said, “Let it be to me according to your word (v.38)!”
Not doing things for your own self but for others is one of the truths of the Christmas story. That’s why Jesus came to this world—to sacrifice Himself to save mankind. Let’s make Him our model for how we should live in the time we have left before the end comes!

Devotion 3 of 3: Rev 12
This chapter is a prophecy centered on Israel during T2, the 2nd half of the tribulation. This is in contrast to Rev 11, which centered on the LDC (Overcoming Jewish and Gentile believers) during T1. What are some lessons we can learn about Israel in the endtime?
V.1-6 The woman symbolizes Israel. She gives birth to a child, Jesus, whom the dragon (Satan) tries to devour. The child will rule all nations, symbolic of Jesus ruling the world during the Millennium. The child was caught up to God, a picture of Jesus ascending to heaven after His resurrection. Then the woman flees into the wilderness for 3.5 years, symbolizing Israel being protected by God from AC during T2. Sometimes prophecy goes back and forth in time.
There are many other details which we cannot cover in a short devotion. Let’s continue to seek the Lord to understand God’s endtime plan for Israel, and let’s pray that that plan will be fulfilled and Israel gets saved!
