Devotion 1 of 1: Isa 66
*God doesn’t live in a man-made building but in people of contrite spirit who tremble at his word:
v.1. “Where is the house that you will build me?”
v.2. “But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word.”
*God doesn’t want animal, grain or incense sacrifices but wants his people to hear and answer him.
v.3. He who gave a bull, lamb, grain or incense offering chose their own way and their own abomination.
v.4. But when I called, no one answered; when I spoke, they did not hear.
We see a famous prophecy of Israel’s sudden conversion to Christ in v.8: “Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, she gave birth to her children.”
This amazing prophecy will be fulfilled when Jesus returns to earth to save the Jews from AC. They will realize that Jesus is the Messiah, repent of their sin of killing him and all of the Jews will be saved in a single day! Hallelujah!
Let’s pray for Israel’s restoration to be completed and for the whole nation to be born again at Christ’s 2nd coming!
