Devotion 1 of 2: Isa 3
In this chapter we see the sins of Judah and the judgments God sent upon her. One judgment was God cut off Judah’s food and water (v.1). Another was the cutting off of honorable leaders (v.2-3) and giving her immature, childish leaders instead (v.4-5). This was fulfilled by fleshly kings such as Jotham and Ahaz leading Judah astray.
Let’s repent of our lukewarmness and other sins and ask God to replace immature leaders in the world-wide church with anointed pastors who will preach solid Bible truths and lead the church into endtime revival!

Devotion 2 of 2: Luke 3
V.23 says Jesus was about 30 years old when he began his ministry. 30 is the year of maturity in the Bible. Joseph was 17 when he got his calling to be a ruler through his dreams, but he didn’t begin to rule next to Pharaoh until he became 30, after 13 years of trials that tested him and helped him to mature.
David also received his calling to become a king through the prophet Samuel when he was a young boy, but he didn’t actually sit on the throne until he was 30. He had to go through many years of training and hardship so that his character could be formed before God could entrust him with authority to rule.
The LDC will have awesome authority to rule and to make judgments according to Rev 11:5-6. But in order to handle this authority in the right way, we will have to become fully mature. Spiritual maturity involves not thinking and saying selfish or negative words, but always showing love and compassion for others. Let’s seek the Lord to help us grow to full maturity!
